A visit from some creepy crawlies…
Today, we had some interesting visitors in school. We had a fantastic hands-on experience of holding some
wonderful creatures including giant snails, giant cockroaches and stick insects.

Queenswood School Morley, Leeds 2018.

The Infant and Reception children have had a great themed day all about Mini-beasts.
We have read facts about a range of Mini-beasts, made factual posters, used symmetry
to make symmetrical butterflies. Then this afternoon we had a visit from Lisa the Bug Lady!
She showed us cockroaches, stick insects and giant land snails!! We even got to hold some of
them too. The children asked and answered lots of questions and were extremely well behaved.
